Andrea Bocelli in concert
On 1st July 2009 at 9 p.m. the famous tenor Andrea Bocelli will perform in the suggestive location of Saint Mark's Square.
The Maestro will interpret some of the most important arie of italian operatic tradition. He will be conducted by Eugene Kohn.

Simple Minds in concert
On 24th July 2009 the finest drawing room in Europe will host Jim Kerr and his group, Simple Minds, for a concert organized by SMS Venice, acronym of Saint mark Square and of Short Message System, a project for the collection of funds for the safeguard of the artistic and architectural properties of Venice which last year made Elthon John and Giovanni Allevi be present in St. MarK’s Square.

Saint Mark's Square
This is the symbol of the city’s public life. It is the only ‘piazza’ in Venice, the others are called ‘campo’. A long series of modifications have brought the piazza to what it is now – a rectangular public meeting place with the Basilica at one end and an isolated bell tower, the highest in Venice, to its left.
