Venezia Jazz Festival
From July 27 to August 2 2009 there will be the second edition of the Venice Jazz Festival, a music festival organized by Veneto Jazz in collaboration with Regione del Veneto and the City of Venice and destined to become the most important event of Jazz world.
The lineup includes a series of prestigious concerts: from the showcase of selected record labels at Teatro La Fenice, in Piazza San Marco and in other significant areas around the city, to aperitivo-time live at Rialto, to jazz lunch & dinner in
selected Venetian hotels, to late
night DJ sets in nightclubs.
Artists of international fame, emerging talent, innovative offerings of the jazz scene alongside big names. Venice Jazz Festival is the high point of the city’s cultural programs, using a formula of audience involvement in varying hours of the day and night.
The artistic offerings aren’t limited to music, but there is a carnet of collateral events that will take place in locations and in the public “campi” around Venice: art exhibits, readings, themed conferences and culinary experiences.

Paolo Conte and the Symphonic Orchestra of Venice will perform in Saint Mark's Square on Friday 31 July. Thanks to the exceptional location and to the presence of a symphonic formation, the concert, realized with the collaboration of Venezia Marketing & Eventi and with the support of Fondazione Antonveneta, is a not-to-be-missed event.
