L’Anima dell’Acqua – Contemporary Art
Contemporary Art at Ca' D'Oro
On Friday June 5th at 3.30pm the Minister of Cultural Heritage and Activity Sandro Bondi will inaugurate the exhibition L’Anima dell’Acqua-Contemporary Art, the new Contemporary Art exhibition at Ca' D'Oro, with works by Fabrizio Plessi and suggestive video-installations by Bill Viola.
Water is an essential element to life, a metaphor of our existence.
During the centuries philosphy, art and religion has assigned to water an important role for every spiritual manifestation.
Water is the central theme of the exhibition Anima dell’acqua – Contemporary Art a Venezia that will open from June 6th to November 22nd at Cà d’Oro Palace. Curated by Fondazione DNArt, in collaboration with the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activity, Soprintendenza speciale per il patrimonio storico artistico ed etnoantropologico e per il Polo Museale di Venezia, Veneto Region, Lombardia Region, Venice Municipality and with the patronage of Co.Ve.Di. s.r.l., Siram S.p.a. and AmiAcque s.r.l.
The exhibition creates a connection between art and poetry thanks to the contribution of contemporary poets (Rondoni, Mussapi, Pontiggia, Giudici, Coppioli, Conte, Cerarosco). It hosts works by contemporary artists that has dealt with this theme: Agostino Arrivabene, Davide Coltro, Aaron Demetz, Dario Ghibaudo, Piero Gilardi, Pina Inferrera, Fabrizio Plessi, Enrico Robusti, Luigi Stoisa, Bill Viola.
