Ulrike and Eamon Compliant
Blast Theory
Ulrike and Eamon Compliant is a new ambulatory work exploring subjectivity in the heart of the streets, squares and churches in Venice. From June 4th to 7th at Palazzo Zenobio and at Oratorio di San Ludovico.
It invites the audience to become direct interlocutors of the artists practice which is focused on dialogue and interaction, on new ways of experimenting the relationship between public and private spaces and on mechanisms of orientation and disorientation. The viewers will become active participants in parallel lives following unusual paths through the unique Venice urban context.
The project is commissioned by De La Warr Pavilion with the support of Arts Council England, Turning Point South East and Nuova Icona

La Biennale di Venezia è da oltre un secolo una delle

The 53rd International Art Exhibition, entitled Fare Mondi // Making Worlds directed by Daniel Birnbaum, organized by La Biennale di Venezia chaired by Paolo Baratta, will open to the public from Sunday June 7th to Sunday November 22nd 2009 in the Giardini (50,000 sq.m.) and the Arsenale (38,000 sq.m.) as well as in various other locations around the city. The press preview will take place on June 4th, 5th, and 6th 2009.
