MestrEuropa: mostra-mercato del commercio ambulante
A Mestre dal 3 al 5 ottobre si terrà la mostra-mercato del commercio ambulante: quasi 120 espositori, metà dei quali provenienti da 22 Paesi stranieri,
ed il resto da quasi tutte le regioni italiane . L'inaugurazione avverrà sabato alle ore 10.30.
"MestrEuropa" è realizzata dalla Fiva, la Federazione Italiana
Venditori Ambulanti, in collaborazione con la Confcommercio e le due
Ascom di Venezia e Mestre, col contributo, oltre che del Comune e della
Municipalità Mestre Carpenedo, della Regione, della Provincia,
dell'Apt, di Veritas e di Venezi@opportunità.

Piazza Ferretto
Originally called Piazza Grande or Maggiore, in 1900 it was dedicated to the memory of King Umberto I di Savoia, assassinated in Monza. After the Second World War it was dedicated to the memory of Erminio Ferretto, a partisan killed by the fascists in 1944. Historically, the square developed an external area from the fortified core of the town in the 1500s, and for centuries it was nothing more than the ‘road’ of St Lorenzo’s village and a useful link between Venice and the mainland.
This function stopped the modernization process of the area for a long time.
