2008 Venice Boat Show
Venice and seafaring? Fortunately, there is the Boat Show.
In order to rekindle, every year, interest in that most ancient, most profound soul of the city, as well as in its economy which is linked to the sector, along with all the benefits derived from this, Venice celebrates the nine days of the Boat Show.
The seventh edition of this event will take place from the 8th until the 16th of March.
This event has become ever more fascinating throughout the years, reaching beyond the simple exposition of boats and accessories.
The added value, that which makes it more and better than an interesting, varied product showcase, is the fact that the Boat Show is located in Venice, a city which gives a 100% quality effort in all sectors.
Speaking about seamanship thus becomes the occasion for comparing, in the various debates and congresses planned at the Maritime Station and Vega, sustainable propulsion and the problem of the immoderate use of wood/trees for bollards and other types of marine poles.
Environmental themes in primis; but there are also encounters on the reconstruction of the Bucintoro, on nautical tourism, on the development of nautical services and on training linked to a sector which, for ten years, has been one of the few in our country that continues to have a growing turnover and an increasing number of jobs to offer.
It is indeed the nautical universe which represents an extraordinary opportunity for reconverting Marghera's port waterfront, as done at San Basilio and at the Maritime Station, a type of reconversion which in other maritime cities such as Barcelona and Genoa has resulted in an authentic urban Renaissance and a rebirth of the socioeconomic structure.
These are themes of great current interest, discussed inside a fair which, over the years, has wisely expanded, becoming the largest sectorial manifestation in the Adriatic zone.

Il sistema dei Musei Civici Veneziani è costituito da un insieme organico di sedi e collezioni, di enorme importanza e valore artistico e storico, che racchiude i principali musei della città.
The Venice International Boat Show, is a true
Festival dedicated to all those who love yachting and the sea.
