Pellestrina's Regatta
Pellestrina's Regatta teakes place on the first Sunday of August (this year on August the 2nd), during the Madonna dell'Apparizione Feast, an event deeply appreciated by the citizens which brings hundreds of visitors into the island.
The regatta is an important competition in view of the Historical Regatta, a test bed for the participants.
The best place to watch the regatta is on boat, but a good place can be found also on land.
The race course is: departure at Cantiere Menetto - Pellestrina's Canal - S.Antonio's Church - arrival at Madonna dell'Apparizione Church

Every year from April to September, in Venice and on the lagoon, there are more than 120 regattas, in addition to the famous Historical Regatta.
Redentore Regatta
The week end of the Redentore feast will end with the Redentore Regatta, the departure and arrival of which is the Tempio Votivo of Redentore. The regatta is visible from the fondamenta that coasts the Giudecca Canal.

Madonna dell'Apparizione Feast at Pellestrina
Pellestrina Island, like every year, celebrates the miraculous events
connected to the Venetian victory against the Turkish enemy in 1716
with a popular feast, very appreciated by the citizens. From Saturday
25th to Tuesday 4th August 2009 there will be many cultural, musical,
sport and gastronomic events, which will culminate with the final
firework display.
