67th Venice International Film Festival
The 67th Venice International Film Festival will run 1st to 11th September 2010 at Venice Lido. Quentin Tarantino will chair the Jury, while he actress Isabella Ragonese will be the godmother of the Festival.

54th International Festival of Contemporary Music
The 54th International Festival of Contemporary Music will take place between September 23rd and October 2nd 2010. This year’s event is titled Don Giovanni and the Man of Stone and is directed by Luca Francesconi. As suggested by the title, the theme of this year is the well known character created by Mozart. The reason of this choice stays not only on the will to celebrate the famous composer, but also on the desire to celebrate the western myth of the Don Giovanni.

12th International Architecture Exhibition - People meet in architecture
The 12th International Architecture Exhibition, directed by Kazuyo Sejima, will be held from August 29th to November 21st 2010, at the Giardini and at the Arsenale (preview August 26, 27 and 28, 2010), and in various other venues in Venice.

Riviera Fiorita
In september, usually in the second sunday of the month, along the Riviera del Brenta takes place one of the more pictoresque events of the year: Riviera Fiorita ( 'Riviera in bloom').
Riviera Fiorita re-enacts the meeting between Enrico III King of France and the Doge of Venice in 1574. This year the show will be on Sunday, 12th September 2010.

Salone del Volo - Festival dell'Aria

Starting from Villa Pisani in Stra, the runners will pass along the Riviera del Brenta to end up at Riva dei Sette Martiri in Venice.

Giorgione at Palazzo Grimani
It was the Autumn of 1510 when Giorgio da Castelfranco, known as Giorgione (1447-1510), died in Venice. And it is just to celebrate the fifth centenary of his death that Giorgione has been chosen to represent the opening to the public of Palazzo Grimani as permanent museum, with an exhibition of three of his works of art.
