Going out in Venice

Going out in VeniceWhat to do in winter time in Venice? Here's some tips about late bars, spritz-time, live clubs, discos and restaurants to go out in Venice and its mainland...

Are you all ready for the winter’s hibernation?
Not at all! We still need some more space, ideas and new alternatives.
Luckily enough our towns are lively thanks to: late bars, live clubs, discos and cultural centres.

The Centre Restaurant Lounge is surely still one of the must in Venice, with great music, art exhibitions and theme parties as the renowned Dogado Lounge, a high quality restaurant.

Among the late bars do not forget Margaret Duchamp, The Antica Osteria Ruga Rialto and the Taverna da Baffo, with its exhibitions and nights dedicated to literature.

And what for spritz-time? The Cascina, a nice and warm meeting point in a central area of Mestre and Al Calice in Piazza Ferretto, wine bar with jazz and rock concerts.

Live clubs too have interesting proposals: the association La Musica a Venezia will open the doors of Venice Jazz Club and of the Torino@notte, clubs that now deserve to be named with the most amusing offers in the lagoon.

Beyond the Ponte della Libertà, the undisputed quality offered by Al Vapore, from twenty years a cultural milestone. If you get a lift then it’s worth getting to Marcon, at the Magic Bus and why not to New Age Club in Roncade (Tv): if you like live music, you’ll surely enjoy the night there.

And here are some discos for the dancers: Cielo Club in Tessera (former Zoo), Molo 5 in Marghera, the Tabià in Mestre e the Mojito in Pianiga.

Finally do not forget ARCI circles, cultural social centres that in the last few years have given us classical music, meetings, workshops, information…
In two words: human relationships.
