On 24^th July 2009 the finest drawing room in Europe will host Jim Kerr and his group, Simple Minds, for a concert organized by SMS Venice, acronym of Saint mark Square and of Short Message System, a project for the collection of funds for the safeguard of the artistic and architectural properties of Venice which last year made Elthon John and Giovanni Allevi be present in St. MarK’s Square.  

The legendary group will performe songs from the new album Graffiti Soul in addition to their major success.
Jim Kerr and his group will also performe “New Gold Dream”, which will be recorded live and sold for 5 euro in their web site www.simpleminds.it . Whole result will be devolved for SMS Venice.

The non-profit organization SMS Venice aims to raise public awareness by promoting, with the support of sponsors through donations via telephone and the web, a campaign to collect funds for the protection and conservation of the City.
Among the aims of this year campaign the restoration of some parts of the Chiesa dei Gesuiti, of the San Giorgio Maggiore’s one, of Rialto Bridge, of the Scuola di San Rocco and S. Giuseppe Church.
