The Jaeger-LeCoultre Glory to the Filmmaker attributed to Sylvester Stallone

On September 12th, durino the 66th Venice International Film Festival, the american director, screenwriter and actor Sylvester Stallone will receive the “Jaeger-LeCoultre Glory to the Filmmaker Award”. The award, organized with the collaboration with Jaeger-LeCoultre, is dedicated to artists who have left their mark in contemporary cinema. Takeshi Kitano, Agnès Varda and Abbas Kiarostami are the artists that received it during the previously edition.
“Being honored at the Venice Film Festival – says Sylvester Stallone - is something I have always hoped would become a reality and now that it’s actually happened it’s been well worth the wait”.
The award ceremony will take place on September 12th during the closing ceremony of the Film Festival in the Sala Grande of the Palazzo del Cinema.
On this occasion there will be a world-premiere screening of some sequences from the new film written by, directed by and starring Sylvester Stallone, "The Expendables". And at 11pm there will be also a screening of "Rambo – Director’s Cut".
