The Heineken Jammin' Festival, from Friday 20^th to Sunday 22^nd June, 2008 will be back, as always, at the Parco San Giuliano. The Mestre park overlooks Venice’s lagoon – a perfect backdrop for three days of good rock entertainment.

The exhibition, Tiziano: L’ultimo atto (Titian: The last act) covers the final period of the great artist’s life when Tiziano Vecellio returned to his place of birth, Pieve di Cadore, 10 years before his death.
Loneliness, after the loss of his brother Francesco and his friend Pietro Aretino took him back to his roots in Pieve di Cadore at almost 80 years old, towards the middle of the 1560s. His return, in a crucial moment of his existential and artistic life, gave its fruits.

La città filmata è un viaggio cinematografico dentro la realtà urbana della Terraferma. Si tratta di un itinerario tra Mestre e Marghera tra tematiche industriali, ambientali, sociali o semplicemente di microstoria privata, attraverso una varietà di generi e punti di vista, dagli anni ’30 fino ad oggi.

“Mestre Novecento. Il secolo breve della città di Terraferma. Storie e trasformazioni urbane” è il titolo della mostra inaugurata il 26 ottobre 2007 al Centro culturale Candiani, a Mestre. Un itinerario tra immagini fotografiche, cartografie informatizzate, documenti originali, plastici, oggetti, video e film per ripercorrere le tappe delle trasformazioni territoriali che hanno portato alla struttura attuale della città.
