New Year’s Eve 2009-2010 at the MetropoleNew Year’s Eve at the Metropole this time will be particularly special: after a really splendid year for its restaurant, the farewell to the old year will be a jubilation expressed and realized though its cuisine. The Met Restaurant will be the protagonist of the most suggestive day of the year with two new, exciting awards, the Tre Forchette (Top Score) by the Gambero Rosso Guide and above all the second Michelin Star.

In an extremely smart background, in an atmosphere where nothing happens by chance, the dinner of the new Year’s Eve will leave an unforgettable memory of a magic evening.
Decorations will be dedicated to good-wishing elements which will be an omen of a happy new year coming but at the same time a tribute to the good luck that has accompanied the Metropole throughout all the 2009.
After the elegant welcoming aperitif, the dinner will have 5 courses, among grilled “terrine” of Foie Gras, vegetable mustard, raw “scampi” stuffed with buffalo’s cottage cheese, but also Fresh home-made “pasta” parcels and oyster and yoghurt sauce stew.
And many other surprises for the taste in the warm atmosphere and the lovely fire place.
The scent of the incenses and the soft candle light will make the lounges particularly refined and comfortable, while the live musical band will be the sound track for dances until night, a final touch of beauty and the right background of a night of celebrations.

Pleasant secrets from the chef and a toast with “Franciacorta Bellavista Brut”

Grilled “terrine” of “Foie Gras” with prawns in pig’s cheek wrapping, vegetable mustard, “brioche” bread and the quintessence of “Porto” wine and shallot

Raw “scampi” stuffed with buffalo’s cottage cheese, passion fruit, olives, capers, sprinkled with coffee powder

Fresh home-made “pasta” parcels with tomato filled with basil “Pesto” and baby octopus in an oyster and yoghurt sauce stew

Boned quail, smoked in camomile herbs, mousse of “mascarpone” cheese and macaroons, pumpkin and chives

Cinnamon “parfait ” with raspberries, peanuts and rum ice-cream
